In this Excel file, you will find three spreadsheets:
1. EV sales (registrations) by state and the District of Columbia for 2011-2022.
Each year is broken down:
2. Cumulative vehicles in operation (VIO) by state and the District of Columbia for 2011-2022.
VIO is an estimate of the cumulative total sales minus a percentage factor each year of vehicles that go out of operation (totaled from accidents, mechanical failure from age, etc.)
Each year is broken down:
3. Light Passenger Vehicle (LPV) sales by state and the District of Columbia for 2011-2022.
This sheet includes the total number of light passenger vehicle (LPVs) sales for each state. The LPV numbers are estimated from the powertrain sales share percentages.
